Proper Car Washing & Car Drying Techniques

Proper Washing & Drying Technique:

You wash your car, or simply damage the paint? Most of the swirl marks that defect your car are probably caused by poor washing technology. The best care you can give to your vehicle is through thorough weekly washing and careful hand drying. Improper techniques are causing unnatural swirls and scratches in the paint that at least require compounding or polishing. By following a few simple tips when your car is washing and drying, you can eliminate these issues and save yourself extra work.

Are you washing weekly or weakly?

Weekly washing is the best because certain contaminants quickly cause severe long-term damage to paint if they can stay. Bug remains and bird droppings are two of these organic compounds. These bio-risks contain complex proteins which bind to and break down the surface and organic acids, if not removed promptly, to your clear coat. Weak spots in the clear coat make your car sensitive to color and corrosion.

Brake dust is another problem. It contains metal cuts from rotors and adhesives used for brake pad production. Try to picture the dirty pen of a moving vehicle and chemicals from the brake and roads. This chemical fog showers your vehicle’s lower part with an almost invisible clinging nebula. Brake dust is very corrosive and sticky on its own. Washing your car weekly will remove this contaminant before it can cause stupid permanent damage.

Wash Tools:

Never first wash in the sun. Choose a spot that’s shady. Secondly, the choice of the instruments on the layer, which are gentle yet efficient to remove contamination, is very important. Sponges and mitts which are sweeter or have a low nap than flat towels or dense sponges are generally better for thumbs. A Natural Sea Sponge, for example, has numerous deep compartments that accumulate dirt and debris. The fibers do not scrape the paint themselves and mainly pull contamination away from the paint into the opening of the sponge. Use the sponge softer side to wash it all the time.

Thoroughly rinse new marine sponges before using to remove fragments of any shell or sand.

Proper Washing:

1.First, wash the tires and wheels. You can easily wash it off while you wash your vehicle if you slash wheel cleaners or dirt into your vehicle. Use a cleaner, as Wolfgang Tire & Wheel Cleaner, which is safe for all wheels. It is water-based and has no corrosive chemicals for coated wheels or rubber that are safer. Shake without scratching with a wheel brush. Wash each wheel and tire one by one and rinse carefully before proceeding to the next.

RINSE AND EMPTY OF ALL CLEANING MATERIALS, including the Bug & Tar Sponge Pinnacle Safe Scrub and your laundry wash.

2.You are prepared to wash now. Let’s begin with clean water and a rinsed container and our wash mitt Micro-chenille. The use of a high lubricant car wash is important. The purpose of washing the car is to remove and lubricate contamination so that the paint is not scratched as the vehicle is slid.

Dish detergents are not ideal since protective coatings are removed. P21S Bodywork Shampoo, McKee’s 37 Power Wash and Pinnacle Bodywork Shampoo are great choices. All the products are excellent. They don’t remove wax and supply large grainy particles with lubrication.

3.How can swirl marks be prevented? Use two pans. Two pans. Fill one bucket with soapy water and add clean water to the other. You can first dip your sponge into clean water every time you are prepared to recharge your sponge with soapy water, to rinse the grate and contamination from your vehicle.

Tauch it and wash it further in the soapy water.

4.Rince your car thoroughly before you start washing so that loose debris can be removed. Then start to wash on top of the car. Wash the car against the front and the rear. Recall the dirtiest lower panels. Before cleaning the bottom half of the vehicle, you want to clear the windows and the upper panels so that you do not transfer grit to the top half of the car. To prevent cross-contamination, rinse and reload your sponge often. Rinse your car often, especially in hot weather, as you work.

5.You don’t have to blast the water hose on your car clean during rinsing. Free water (no nozzle) will allow your car to drain water for further rinsing.

Drying:

Don’t skip drying anymore! After washing, it is necessary to dry your vehicle to avoid water spots. Mineral deposits that add the contours of a drop of water into the paint of your vehicle are causing water spots. Every water, whether it’s hose or sky, has minerals. As the water evaporates, the minerals stay on the surface and always create water spots.

Your vehicle can be dried in a number of different ways, but you want to ensure it is done quickly. California Jelly Blade is the quickest way to remove excess water. This is a “safe-painted” squeegee which draws 80% of the water from the car’s surface. They are made of soft silicone of medical quality so that your paint or glass is not scratched.

First, use the blade on the windows since it is the most visible water spots. Or go to the Metro Vac N’Blo for a flawless finish for a TOTALLY TURBO-CHARGED fast drying experience. This is the ultimate cleaning and drying tool. A four-piece micro-cleaning toolkit, shoulders and blower nozzles are also provided in this portable unit.

You may still need to use a towel to wipe drips off the windows and mirrors if you use a California Jelly Blade. The Guzzler is a large 20″x 40″ towel made of waffles with a microfibre. This fabric increases the area of the towel so that more water is absorbed. It can absorb its own moisture weight seven times and is totally non-abrasive. Towels made from microfiber can be altered for a certain purpose in a number of sizes. For example, without straps, the Cobra Waffle-Weave Glass Towel will purify and dry glass. Microfibers are more absorbent than chamois or terry cloths and last longer.

Terry towels are not recommended since, after repeated applications, the fibers can become dull and hard. They’ve been throwing lint. They make swirls more likely. They are not as absorbent as microfibers and do not last as long as microfibres. Do not use towels discarded from the house. You should not. Probably they are not soft or safe to paint. All Cobra microfibers are LINT-FREE designed!

Drying Tips:

1. First of all, dry the windows and mirrors. Any remaining water will be removed by a series of careful firms with your California Water Blade.

2. Use the large Supreme Guzzler to remove most of your car’s water. This towel is 20″x 40 “long and absorbs its own weight seven times in moisture. Go back onto the vehicle with a smaller towel, such as The Guzzler, to collect any water the big towel might have missed. This rapid two-stage process will make your vehicle bone-dry and wax-ready.

3. Wipe all the door jambs off once the outside is dry. To wipe jambs, open the trunk and hood. With the best LINT-FREE drying technology, our Cobra Microfiber Starter Kit will keep your vehicle dry and spotless.

4. Use towel or chamois to dry your wheels for this purpose alone. Don’t use this towel to avoid cross-contamination on your paint. You can also wipe the surfaces under the hood with this towel. Before using it again, wash this towel.

Clean Water Makes for a Clean Car:

Whenever you wash your vehicle and get spots and swirls every time you take all precautions, water can be the problem.
There’s no pure water. Every water has minerals and most sediments. You have hard water when your car shampoo (or hair shampoo) is not well lacerated and your faucets and fittings tend to be green. If you are constantly fighting water spots, you have hard water if your water is not drained off your vehicle. The main cause of hard water is calcium and magnesium, which can be removed with a softener.

Another common enemy to any finished paint is sediment. In fact, in the waterline, sediment is dirt and rust. The treatment plants filter sediment but the pipes between the plant and your house will receive more sediment. That’s why household ropes have screens. If you’ve got good water, watch out. Sediment and hard water are most likely to be present.

A Free Spot Water De-Ionizer cleans and softens the water before it gets to your car. Connect it with any standard garden pants attached to a spigot outside. Please insert a spot-free de-ionizer cartridge to resolve your water problem. The filter is easy to install and has nominal costs in comparison with the amount of time and money saved in painting processing.

If you have both problems with water, take two tube filters and filter sediment and soften the water before it leaves the tube. Include all the necessary information for this simple two-stage filtration system in the Deluxe Spot Free Water DeIonizer Kit. Your truck will clean up and have less water-related micro marring with a little preventative maintenance.
