AIPMA (All India Plastics Manufacturers Association) is the apex organization for the Indian plastics industry and offers a whole host of services and solutions to its members along with taking various initiatives for the betterment of the industry at large. The organization offers certificate of origin as per its authorization from the DGFT (Directorate General of Foreign Trade) to all exporters in the country. Some of the key initiatives undertaken by AIPMA include providing membership services to more than 2,500 (direct) and 2,500 indirect members via its affiliate associations which are 130 in number. AIPMA also conducts job fairs, industrial studies and research reports and sends delegations for international and domestic promotion of the business. It has consultant clinics for existing and new entrepreneurs along with releasing various publications and organizing meetings in the B2B (business to business) space. AIPMA already has four zonal offices covering Indian metros along with a couple of technology centres.
AIPMA is today a member of CIPAD and UFI along with holding membership of various committees at the Government of India including the Department of Chemicals & Petrochemicals, Ministry of Environment and Forest, CIPET, BIS and more. It is the elected member of the ASSOCHAM National Council and also for CII while holding ISO 9001:2008 certification and BMO accreditation. Other initiatives include activities linked to the Utkarsh AIPMA Youth Council along with organizing the fourth biggest B2B exhibition for plastics worldwide, named Plastivision India. It also submits its pre-budget memorandum to the Government along with taking part in organizing Plastivision Arabia and releasing free publications and its weekly e-bulletin pertaining to recycling and the environment.
