Going to the casino is uncharted territory for many people in the 21st Century, even if they are still pretty experienced gamblers. The reason behind this is that there are now countless people who do their casino gambling exclusively online, and therefore haven’t ever been to an actual brick and mortar casino before.
It can be tempting to think that going to the casino ot play today isn’t really anything of a big deal, but that is where you’re wrong. These establishments have very strict codes of conduct, and if you don’t adhere to them you could find yourself being ejected. Here are 5 things you should never do in a casino.
Never turn up without money
Duh? If you turn up to a casino without any money you are a fool, and more importantly you are asking to be kicked out as soon as the casino in question realises. This seems like a no brainer, but countless tourists in Las Vegas have been known to go to casinos without any money just to see what all the fuss is about.
Whilst this isn’t the worst thing in itself, it is bound to scare casino workers into denying you entry, as you would look just like a thieving opportunist.
Do not be brazen with your hands
In many casino table games like blackjack hand signals are an inherent component in how you place your bets, so being too brazen with your hands is often a bad idea if you are in a casino as you might accidentally place a bet you didn’t want too.
Moreover, if you don’t keep an eye on your hand holding your cards you could make it easier for other players to get a look at them, not something you want to do if you have any ambitions of winning in the casino.
Never ignore the dress code
Casinos certainly aren’t the places where you can turn up wearing anything, pretty much all of them will have some kind of dress code, and it is very important that you adhere to this. Smart casual is what most of them prefer, so make sure you are putting effort into making sure you look like this.
The last thing you want is to be turned away at the door because you are wearing trainers, for instance.
Do not take photographs on the casino floor
In the age of Instagram it seems as though you must take a picture of what you are doing in order to actually live the experience, but this is a bad idea on casino floors. It is mainly because casinos are terrified of cheaters, and taking photos could make you appear like exactly one of these.
Do not try and cheat
This one is a no brainer, but we really wouldn’t advise anyone trying to cheat in a casino in the 21st Century, as the surveillance and security levels are just too high for it to be possible.
