Switzerland is a Central European country with lots of mountains, lakes, and villages. It is a part of Alps. The country is considered as a high standard country and is known for their banks, good chocolate, cheese, watches and ski centers. It is politically and military independent country in which four languages are spoken.

Switzerland is a mountain country that has beautiful lakes. Some of their most visited tourist attractions are Zermatt, Pontresina, Murren, Saas-Fee, Grindelwald, Zürich and Bern which is their capital. They have natural and other wonders for you to see and good places for you to hike, cycle, and do winter and summer sports.

The most Beautiful Campsites

It is time for you to see which places I have picked for you as your next camping destination. This is a country that all ski lovers will like and enjoy in winter activities but also those who want to relax in the unspoiled nature, so let’s take a look.

Camping Alpenblick GmbH

Camping Alpenblick GmbHCamping Alpenblick GmbH is located in the heart of the mountains Berner Oberland and is 100 m away from the Lake of Thun. This camp has a lot of trees so you don’t have to worry about the shade in hot days. They are open all year long and offer 200 pitch places. Dogs are allowed. They have a nice-looking wooden barbecue house and three sleeping-tipis. They welcome all campers, especially bikers and cyclists.

What can you do here? You can walk or cycle to the Lake of Thun on the 100 m road and you can also go to the nature reserve. At winter time they have heated facilities. Children will not be bored as there is a playground, sandbox and adventure corner. You can play basketball or ping-pong or just enjoy in the outdoors hiking, walking, cycling, sailing, water skiing, scuba diving and much more.

Camping Eienwäldli

Camping EienwäldliYou will find this camp in central Switzerland. It can be found on 1000 m of altitude in the monastery village of Engelberg. This is the right place to camp for people who like to be sporty and for families. This 5-star camp has 220 camping pitch plots and is opened through all year.

They have winter specials as cross-country skiing trail and ski boot dryer. In summer you can play games with your children in the game arena and grill in their barbeque spot.

This is a great place for families as the stuff make sure that you will enjoy with your kids when camping. They offer organized children activities in July and August and a summer and autumn programme that is always an attraction. If you are a climber, cyclist, mountain biker, or a golfer you will have a good time here. The camp also has a spa and cosmetic treatments when you want to relax and enjoy in the moment.

Camping Flims

Camping FlimsCamping Flims is situated in the Eastern Switzerland, in the middle of the ski area of Flims Laax Falera. It is considered as a summer and winter camp that accommodates people on the 140 pitch plots. The camp provides some shade.

You can camp there with a tent or with a caravan but they also have a rich accommodation offer if you want to glamp. They have PODhotels which can be double and triple and Pods for four persons.

Dogs are allowed in the camp (on the leash) but not in the Podhouses. Do you like winter activities? You will like this place as they have cross-country skiing trails and winter hiking trails. The shuttle bus will take you to the cable car station at Laax or Flims for free.

Summer is the right time for rock climbing, swimming, biking, hiking, and other activities in the camp and its surroundings. They offer bed & breakfast at the campsite and you can also drink a refreshment or coffee at Buna Luna café.

Camping Cul

Camping CulYou can visit Camping Cul at the region Engadin which is Alpine valley region in Eastern Swiss Alps. The camp is located at the start of their National Park, by the river Inn. It offers 340 pitch plots with a wonderful view of the mountains.

They have a public kitchen where you can cook on the gas cookers. The camp also has a library with books that you can lend and read. If you love to grill, you will be able to grill on your charcoal or gas grill but the camp doesn’t have an open fireplace for grilling. However, you can find it close to the Church.

Any camper loves to sit, relax and drink something refreshing, so they have a terrace for you. Play table tennis there and enjoy with your kids at the swing and on the slide. A kiosk operates in the camp where you can get your daily fresh bread and other basic products.

Take your family to the dinner at a restaurant Cul Corner where they serve local and international specialties. Would you rather eat in your tent or caravan? No problem, you can order a take-out at the restaurant and eat your meal in the comfort of your accommodation.

Camping Tresiana

Camping TresianaThe last camp I am presenting to you is a Tresiana camp that accommodates campers on 120 pitch places over the camp. It can be found in Southern Switzerland between Ponte Tresa and Luino (Italy), at the border river Tresa. You can see Lugano city that is only 15 minutes away with a car.

The camp is opened from 24th March till 21st October.  Half of the campsite has a good shade for campers to enjoy. Dogs are allowed here but you must keep them on the leash.

This is a quiet place that includes modern facilities for campers to use. If you want to send a postcard or use the ATM you can do it 2 km away from the camp. You can pitch your tent or a caravan at a shady site of the camp or at the shore of the river Tresa.

The campground offers the place for activities such as outdoor chess, soccer, volleyball, meditation and table tennis. Children can play in the playground and use a paddling pool. If you enjoy outdoor summer activities then this camp will surely satisfy your needs for active holidays.

Swiss Camping – Your Way of Camping

Switzerland is a country that has magnificent mountains and offers great winter but also summer camping holidays. No matter which camp place will you choose to see among mentioned, you will be able to find your special place in the unspoiled nature.

If you are more of a summer type of person, visit camps during a summertime when you will be able to enjoy among the water. There is also a lot to do at winter time when you can experience a great ski ride on gorgeous mountains or have a quiet hike.
