Dholera SIR the Smart City of Future

India is developing day by day and competing with the rest of the world in every sector. Dholera SIR (Special investment region), an initiative taken by Modi’s government is the best example in the real estate and urban planning sector. The development of this smart city is decided to be done in 3 phases. The first phase is expected to be completed by the end of 2022, the second phase by the end of 2032, and the third and last phase by the end of 2024. The project totally covers an area of 920 sq. Km but by the end of 2022, the first phase will be completed and an area of about 154 sq. Km will be developed and operational as well.

The area developed in the first phase will be able to accommodate more than 5 lakh peoples including an industrial area of 22.5sq. Km which will be operational from 2020. So you are going to get your developed smart city by the end of 2022 (COVID_19 can be a factor causing some delay).

You will not have to wait till 2042 for settling inside Dholera SIR. Dholera International airport construction has been started in 2020 and is expected to be completed till 2023 and the Ahmedabad Dholera expressway is expected to be completed till 2030. Work is under process on other facilities like sewerage system, electricity wiring, LPG gas pipelines, storm water system, and on other broadband systems and cables as well.

For providing a safe and healthy environment, the city will be provided with a small park at every 400 meters which will be called as a neighborhood park, and an average-sized park at every 800 meters which will be called Community Park and a giant park at every 4000 meters called as a regional park.
