World’s 5 Most Expensive Luxury Super Yachts

History Supreme – $4.8 Billion

History Supreme was sold at $4.8 Billion and tops the list of the most expensive superyacht in the world today.

With its length of 100-foot, this magnificently built yacht is wrapped in  100,000 kilograms of gold, and platinum. Designed by one of the world-renowned designers from the UK, Stuart Huges, the History Supreme took approximately 3-years to build. Unconfirmed reports suggest that the History Supreme is owned by Malaysia’s richest man Robert Knok. With an array of luxurious features, the superyacht looks extravagant with an extraordinarily designed deck displayed in complete opulence. The master bedroom has a genuine Tyrannosaurus Rex bone statue, and a wall make entirely of meteorite rocks! Additionally, the master suite also has a 24-carat gold Aquavista Panoramic Wall Aquarium.

Eclipse – $1.5 Billion 

Eclipse is the second most expensive yacht in the world and owned by Roman Abramovich, a Russian billionaire and oligarch.  At the length of 531.1 ft, the superyacht has a private defence system, along with missile detection sensors, intruder alarms, armour plating, and bullet-proof windows installed in its master bedroom. Talk about security!  It also has 24 guest bedrooms, a disco hall, two helipads, two swimming pools, and a mini-submarine.

Streets of Monaco – $1 Billion

Streets of Monaco is the first billion-dollar yacht and the 3rd most expensive yacht available in the world today. Stretching at a length of 509-ft the mega yacht is designed to feature miniature versions of some of Monaco’s and Monte Carlos most celebrated landmarks. The yacht has a go-kart circuit, 7 guest suites, a mini waterfall, 30 swimming pools, a mini-submarine, a helipad, and a restaurant that has a wonderful underwater view.

Azzam – $600 Million

Azzam at $600 million is a 590-foot long mega yacht and amongst the most expensive yachts in the world, owned by Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed al-Nayan, President of the United Arab Emirates and Emir of Abu Dhabi.

 With a speed of more than 30 knots or 35mph, Azzam is one of the fastest yachts on the planet today. It also has a very own missile defence system, and a bullet-proof master suite.

A+ Yacht (Formerly known as Topaz) – $527 Million

The Lürssen built superyacht A+ is the fifth most expensive yacht in the world today.

Launched in 2012 this luxury superyacht was built for Abu Dhabi billionaire politician Sheikh Mansour bin Zayed Al Nahyan, the deputy prime minister of UAE. The exterior of the 147m (over 482 ft) yacht is designed by Tim Heywood and the interior was done by Terrance Disdale. A+ has a large jacuzzi on the main deck, double helicopter landing helipads, a high-tech gym, a swimming pool, stylishly designed cinema and a well-furnished conference room.
